Secret #10 Living in Abundance with Positive Priorities

We are now on Secret 10, all about Abundance. I really liked this chapter perhaps because I having been working on Abundance for some time. My ideas of what it means have changed over time. I do believe that Gratitude is a major part of it. I've carried a gratitude rock in my pocket and I have written a gratitude list for several years now. I really do think it makes a difference.

There are always quotes in each chapter that are thought provoking. This week I found these to be inspiring.

"Prosperity is having the power to create a life of your choice -- to get what you really want, not just what your handed." - Ruth Ross, writer

"One of the Secrets of a Happy life is continuous small treats." - Iris Murdoch, writer. I especially like this idea small treats are something easy to do.

"We all live in suspense day to day; in other words you are the hero of your own story. Mary McCarthy, writer. Oh I like this one too I do like being the heroine of my own story. It seems to uplift the mundane a little. Its sometimes easy to forget that we all have stories and our lives are interesting to others, we truly are the heroes of those stories.

"Synchronicity holds the promise that if we change within, the patterns of our outer life will change also. Jean Shinoda Bolen, author. I think my focus has been inner change and I have seen the outer respond in kind.

The chapter also had a section on Personal Positive Priorities. I found this to be essential. You really need to know what you want. I have done exercises like these several times and interestingly enough they change. We often find what we may have thought was essential is not so important anymore. We change and so do our priorities, our dreams and desires. I think this is a section well worth visiting yearly or even every six months.

I like the idea of doing a prosperity road map, putting it all down graphically puts it into perspective, makes it real. I believe that visual images have great power. In some sense a vision board is just that, portraying visually what you want to have happen in your life. I've used vision boards in the past few years and truly find they seem to help in the creating and manifesting the life I want.

The little treats do make life so rich with abundance. The act of stopping and really enjoying your morning cup purposefully. Ahhhh.
Life is good!

This is a good reminder for me, Kate. I admire you for sticking with your abundance work. I totally agree with you that gratitude makes a big difference. Maybe it is in the learning on the WAY to abundance that really makes a difference. Peace and joy,

O

Yes, I agree that priorities keep changing - and some remain! What an interesting exercise!
