It's been a year

Its been exactly a year since I stepped off my couch and severely sprained my ankle.
It is healed now and led to so many other things in my life that it seems that its one of those turning points you can look back upon later and say, It all started with the ankle. I've been down the road with other health problems this year but I don't
want to dwell on that anymore. The Art and the friendships are what keep me going.

Sarah leaves on Sat morning to go back to college, she had such a long break that it will be hard to let her go. In anticipation of new episodes of Heroes we were watching YouTube at the previews and little spoilers. If you can't wait till Monday there is some fun stuff to watch. There are the three previews that have been on TV and some other clips if you want a sneak peak on whats going to happen next.

I went to my spinning group meeting yesterday and spent a little time with friends, that is always a pleasant time. Here is the skein of that roving Peggy gave me fro Christmas. The color is quite unique. I tried tackling Sarah's socks again last night. I find I can do a little before the hands hurt too much so I guess I will do it in spurts.

Its still brittle cold here. At least its not -20 at night anymore. I think it was -6 last night. This is a pic of window in the morning. We do have beautiful blue skies and lots of light and snow on the ground. At least we don't have the ice storms that are elsewhere. I count my blessings for that.

I am coming up with a system to handle my grandparents letters. I have them separated by year and then by person and each in a colored folder. Blue for James and yellow for Brigid. I think I will make a spreadsheet of all the dates and so forth next. It is hard to keep it all straight if I don't do something like that. I have Dave's printer/scanner/copier on my desk but it is really finicky. It only want to work half of the time. I think its time to reinstall the software and see if that helps. I hate it when technology gives me trouble.
