Writers Spa day 6

The Spa will be over tomorrow at 11:30 so soon I will be without an internet connection. I head to a campground tomorrow and begin the second stage in my trip. I plan to stay in Taos a couple days and then head to Santa Fe for a couple days and then slowly make my way home. It should be an interesting adventure to say the least.

I found my special gift for myself today. A pair of silver earrings that twist into a spiral and the name of the symbols used is Emergence so it was an appropriate choice, I have had so many changes and flips the past week that it is truly amazing. Its going to take some time to take it all in.

Today I went to the little park nearby. It has a garden path you can walk that was full of flowers and dragonfly's and butterfly's. What a beautiful place it was. There were benches to sit on. It was really a contemplative place.

A Spontaneous Trip

I played hooky today. Amy called me up today and said "Do you want to go to Driggs and go to the yarn shop and the bead store." I had planned to write all day and almost said no but then I thought oh why not. Driggs is on the back side of the Tetons, These are the Teton Mountains from a distance.

A closer up view.

This is my friend Amy holding this great skein of silk she bought.

We also went to a bookstore called Dark Horse Books, it was really a nice store. I really like independent book stores. I bought this book as a gift for a friend.

I fell in love with this hat. It turned out the pattern for it doesn't exist. The owner had taken a hat pattern and revamped it. So I bought the original pattern and she gave me instructions on how to alter it like she did. I thought that was really nice.

I found this yarn in the .99 bin originally 9.99 what a deal. I will use it as a gift for someone.

It was a really gorgeous day and a perfect way to take a day off. I am really glad I went.

On The Road Again

I am going to Missoula in the morning so I will not have time to blog then. I am heading here. I am taking a different route so I can stop in Victor and go walk the labyrinth. If you have walked a labyrinth before you know what a special thing it can be. This is one of the nicest Labyrinths I have ever seen. I have walked them in Bath, England and in Ketchum, Idaho, but this one is my favorite.

After that I'll drive the remining 40 miles to Missoula. I'll spend the night and take Sarah home for Spring Break on Friday after her classes are over. Of course I have planned in a visit to the Book Store's art department. I can't visit without doing that. I have to entertain myself thursday night since she has 3 tests the next day. I will haul a bunch of art supplies and usually end up leaving home the one thing I need. I also have until 2 on Friday to play so it will be fun. If I get bored I can always go shopping or go and sketch in town. Lots to do there.
