Experimentation 101

My friend Amy came over on her lunch break to brainstorm ideas. I tried some black rayon and then I tried some purple zephyr wool/ silk and I really like that best so far.

Here is the whole piece with the 3 different weaving samples included.

 










Then a close up of the black and then the purple. You can click on them to make them bigger.
 



 




The purple tends to match pretty close with one of the colors in the warp and then it comlements the orange nicely. I also think the looser weave looks better too. I need to decide if I want to unpick all this weft or not. Then wind a shuttle and begin again. Sometimes weaving something is a really long process.
